Hello! It's me, Rosie :)
I am a natural light photographer based in Lincoln, Nebraska and I would love to help create and capture memories with you!!
Photography seems like it's always just been a part of my life. I first picked up a camera at the age of six... one of those disposable ones you can buy at Walgreens. I can assure you, the photos were terrible, but I was hooked. I bought my first digital camera for about $60 when I was eleven and after that, it hitched a ride on every family vacation I went on. Tennessee, Arkansas, California, New Mexico... it went everywhere. I would take photos of anything and everything nature related. To my mom's dismay, I avoided people in my photos and would only photograph the scenery. I'd take 300 pictures of the same flower but I refused to take a photo of my sisters.
At the age of 15, I hit a pretty rough patch in my life. I felt unmotivated, unexcited and I hadn't picked up my camera in over a year. After a particularly rough day, my mom suggested I come up with a new hobby or dust off an old one. Together we cooked up a plan of how I would save up my money for a DSLR camera... and I can still remember the day I bought it.
That camera has been everywhere with me in the past five years. I bring it to class, to musical rehearsal, on walks with my dog, to the lake with my friends... and finally, finally, (to my mom's delight) I've realized how much I love capturing people in my photos. Although nature photography might always have the biggest piece of my heart, the joy of bringing people together through photos is something I didn't know I would be so passionate about and I hope to keep capturing memories for people through the lens as long as I am able.
Although I am a full-time college student, I still make time for my love of photography. I love shooting engagements, senior and family photos and I'm always up for something new!! Just contact me if you have any inquiries :)
